Currycature was born out of my pride as a De-Merican—a blend of Desi and American, representing those of us who hold tight to our South Asian roots while navigating life abroad. As an immigrant, I’ve felt the delicate balance between honoring my heritage and embracing the new culture around me. It’s a journey of nostalgia, love, and resilience—one that deserves to be celebrated.

Back in South Asia, our culture is sewn into the fabric of daily life. But moving away made it easy to feel disconnected from that. Currycature was my way of holding onto those memories and creating something that allows others to do the same.

Why Clothes?

Clothes tell stories. They connect us to our roots and to one another. I wanted to build a brand where South Asians, whether first-gen or second, could proudly wear their identity. Currycature isn't just fashion—it’s a statement. It’s about showing the world who we are and where we come from.

For too long, we’ve been told to fit in. Currycature is here to change that. We’re celebrating our quirks, our food, our phrases—unapologetically. Our designs reflect the humor and nostalgia we all feel about our roots, reminding us that our heritage is worth flaunting.
